Chamaat for Sharad Pawar

I just watched the slap version of Kolaveri, shared by India Against Corruption on Facebook. Around 5000 likes, 917 comments and 3050 people shared it on their walls (If you have not watched it yet, watch at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIhQm6gcUCw). Scam Up-u...country thapp-u--nice lines. More humorous was when Anna Hazare asked was it just one slap. Most importantly, people's reaction was very prompt, justified and humorous like as follows:
(1) After a lifetime of collecting
     "table ke neeche"
Sharad Pawar finally gets one much deserved
     "kan ke neeche"
(2) This m__f__r Sharad Pawar needs one more slap. Have you noticed his f__ing face. Sale sab chor hai. Next time Sharad Pawar you will get a slap from me too. Chor salla.
(3) What a brave Harvinder is. Hats off. Ek do aur dene chahiye the.
(4) Tell me something you bas__d Police and Court and law s__k_ers he slapped Pawar but you can clearly see that one of the officials hitting him back over and again. So why only hold Harvinder, why not put that official in jail, too? Is law just for the common man? Not for official hitting him back? Govt. of India, you suck!!!
The figure of comments posted about hot-topic was astronomical. People were enthusiastic. Harvinder had become hero overnight. Why not he be a hero! He expressed himself (Sale sab chor hai) and most importantly, he had courage to do such a much awaited job without considering the dire consequences. Hats off!!!
This slap shook the country. Common man, like us, backed the incident. On the other hand, people of other world (our politicians) and herd of them condemned the action. They said it was an attack on democracy and peaceful means. I want to ask when this democracy was when people were cracked down in Ramlila ground of Delhi. Farmers were shot in Pune. When this democracy was? I don't know and neither they do. But one thing every body of us know- our democracy has become a puppet of politicians. They can use the word 'democracy' to condemn us and they can use the word 'power' to restrain us to do the thing which is our right. So, this slap is the result of people's anger. And, these incidents will keep on increasing in the existing system.
This may be a lesson for politicians and for people too. People now, are not going to tolerate them anymore. Enough is enough!!! Lets together place them in a corner of our system, place them where they deserve, and make our country a better place to live.

First thing is why this blog I am Against Corruption is created. Will blogging against corruption do the job? Or, do we need to come to streets to build corruption-free India? If one thinks that coming to streets is a better way, we support him. In fact, this is the purest form of democracy when people ask their representatives to do their job. Let us tell you that in Greece, there used to conduct a grand meeting in which all citizens were eligible to speak and vote in the assembly, which set the laws of the city state. But, we are a big country with huge population. Every one can not directly participate in legislation. That's why representatives are chosen and we expect them to speak the voices of the people. As we see nowadays, political complexity and dogfight for power has changed the meanings of democracy and politics. Bad political reforms and lack of strong law against corruption has worsen the situation.
To change the condition we need to work on a long-term strategy. Not only coming to streets and participating mass-movements will complete the job. Roots of corruption are so deep now that no single bill (as we discuss about Janlokpal Bill) can eradicate the menace from our society. Awareness can serve as long term strategy to complete the job. Awareness about general laws, about political scenario, about our representatives, and most importantly about schemes and programs and about our rights is needed. People, generally, don't know about fines of breaching traffic rules. People don't know about fee required by govt. to do a job. That is where people are fooled and as we all know the hush-rush in public offices, people think at least their work is done. Next big thing is about electoral reforms. Politicians are re-elected every time when they are found guilty in scams and bribery cases. They are elected by us, and if, we all are well aware of their miss-deeds we will let them rule upon us. So, this blog is a small initiative to aware people about corruption, anti-corruption, political scenario and other related things.
Lets make our country a better place to live.
